Malcom Junior Williams, age 87, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 in Early, Texas. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Salina, Kansas to Malcom Bunion and Nettie (Smith) Williams. His mother died of a heart attack when Junior was only one year of age and he and his two sisters were raised by their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. After attending school in De Leon, Texas from the 2nd grade to the 10th grade Junior joined the Marines and fought in the Korean War from 1948 to 1952. He was discharged as a Sergeant. On June 1, 1984, he was united in marriage to LaNell (Westmoreland) Shaw in Austin, Texas. After being discharged from the military Junior spent the next thirty plus years driving trucks and operating heavy equipment over several states. In 1985, while working for Gold Kist Peanuts in Comanche County, he was severely injured after falling off the top of an ice covered truck and had to retire. He is survived by his wife, LaNell, of Comanche; two daughters, Jana Sue and Kenny Hughes of Hobbs, New Mexico and Tresa Dee and Dennis Hart of Seagraves, Texas; two step-daughters, Carma Adcock of Comanche and Tina and Glenn Ross of Austin; stepson, James Adcock and Twila of Gustine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lou Murphy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Orman Gabhart of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcom Bunion and Nettie (Smith) Williams; a sister Margaret Gabhart, and a niece, Donna Rasberry.
