Margaret Pearl Prater, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Stephenville, Texas. She was born on September 9, 1928, in Cedartown, Georgia, to Clarence and Pearl (Hull) Smith. On November 30, 1946, she was united in marriage to Duane Prater in Ozana, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1983. Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her son, Dennis Prater and wife Elizabeth of Newburg; daughters, Janette Johnson of Newburg and Jody Moore of Keller; eight grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
