Marjorie “Margie” Sue Murphy, 81, of Gustine, Texas was called home to the Lord on December 23, 2021.
Marjorie was born on April 22, 1940 to John and Nellie (James) Hill. On March 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to Joel Murphy. She was a homemaker and a member of Proctor Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Murphy of Gustine; two sons, Robert Murphy and wife, Staci of Gustine and Russell Murphy of Gustine; two grandchildren, Ryan Murphy and Morgan Murphy; brother, Donald Gene Hill of Cranfills Gap, Texas; sister, Venus Miller of Booneville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Hill; and four brothers, Eustace Hill, E.D. Hill, Laverne Hill, and Stanley Hill.
