MEMORIAL SERVICE: A celebration of her life and her son David’s life will be held at a later date. Mary Ann Boyd Kruger (Ann to most) passed away at the age of 89 on January 16, 2018. She was born on Sunday, May 6, 1928, to Vernon Boyd and Golda (Rogers) Boyd in the east room bedroom at the family farm in Comanche County, Texas She was married to Vernon Kruger but the marriage ended. She became a single mother and raised two children single handed with the support of her family. She proudly served the Texas Veterans Land Board/General Land Office, where she worked for six Land Commissioners. She was known as Miss Ann in the front office. Ann retired in 1984 to the family farm, where she raised goats with her son David. She picked up her father’s passion for genealogy and spent countless hours researching her and others ancestors. She served many positions on the board of the White Point Cemetery Association of Comanche County, but being the registrar of the graves was her greatest passion. To mourn her passing she leaves behind her daughter, Nancy Dorris and husband Alan of Austin; grandsons, Aaron Jones and wife Tonja, Cody Dorris and wife Hope, and Joseph Dorris and wife Heather; granddaughter, Jamie Reyes and husband Diego; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, John Boyd and wife Mary of Comanche; nieces Kristy Ochoa and husband Lino, and Sarah Rivera and husband Remi; and nephews, Bill Boyd and Dary Boyd and wife Kimberley. She was preceded in death by her son, David Kruger.
