FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Friday at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Hazeldell Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Gustine United Methodist Church following the funeral services. MEMORIALS: Gustine United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 102, Gustine, Texas 76455. McDonald “Mac” Applewhite, age 83, of Gustine, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on June 3, 1927, in Hazel Dell, Texas, to Horace and Alice (McDonald) Applewhite. On August 31, 1952, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Maye Rudd. Mac was employed by Higginbotham Bros. and retired as Higginbotham Bros. Store Manger in Gustine after more than thirty years of service. He was a member of the Gustine United Methodist Church and for 62 years was a member of Hope Lodge #481. He is survived by his wife, Maye Applewhite, sisters-in-law, Guyla Davis and Frances McPherson, along with a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Alice Applewhite, and one sister, Martha Foster.
