FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at East Side Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon on Thursday. MEMORIALS: East Side Baptist Church, FM 3381, Comanche, Texas 76442; American Heart Association, P.O. M.E. “Margene” Strube, age 75, passed away on May 3, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on November 4, 1935, in Comyn, Texas, to Junior Dean “Dick” Strube and Mildred (Waltrip) Strube. Margene was a veteran of the United States Army. On October 21, 1961 he was united in marriage to Patricia Barnett in Dublin, Texas. He was employed by Arthur Chevrolet in Comanche for fifteen years, and for Moorman Manufacturing for twenty years. Margene was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pat Strube of Comanche; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Evelyn Strube of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Neil Carroll of Comanche; six grandchildren, Jason Strube and wife Kandi, Nathan Carroll and wife Amy, Amy Strube, Wesley Carroll, Loren Strube, and Shelby Holland and husband Jeremy; two great-grandchildren, Caden Carroll and Danica Carroll; and three brothers, Carl Dean Strube, Wayne Strube, and Jerry Don Strube . He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Mildred Strube
