Michael Hurst

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Gustine, Texas. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at First Baptist Church Gustine following the funeral service. Michael W. Hurst, 53 of Cleburne, Texas went to be with his Lord, parents, grandparents and cousins on Saturday February 19, 2011. He was born on October 20, 1957, in Fabens, Texas, to the late Marvin and Bernice Hurst. They moved to Gustine in 1958. Mike graduated Salutatorian of his 1976 class in Gustine. He met Pamela Curtis and married in 1979. Mike and his dad enjoyed the farm life. He was a member of the Santa Gertudis Cattle Association in the early eighties. At their Gustine farms they grew peanuts, hay and ran cattle. Mike was also a top welder for 35 years having worked for many construction companies thru the U.S. at present he was welding for Ronny Perry Construction. He will always be remembered as a generous friend, loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Pam Hurst of Cleburne, Texas; his daughter, Mikaela Hurst of Fort Worth, Texas; his son Eric Hurst of Cleburne, Texas; sister Debbie Adams of Emmett, Texas; two brothers Steve Rowell of Reno, Nevada; and David Rowell of Rhome, Texas.
