Michael Joe Smith, age 61, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at his home in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1955, in Dublin, Texas, to J.C. and Hulene (McDonald) Smith. Joe worked for sub-contractors of TXU as a lineman for many years. In 1975, he married Peggy Rogers in Comanche, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, and pa-pa. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith of Comanche; one daughter, Angela Miller and husband Tad of Early; one brother, Johnny Smith of Comanche; four sisters: Kaylene Smith of Austin, Reta Dugan of White Settlement, Neta Keith of White Settlement, and Keta Smith and husband, Gary of Georgetown; three grandchildren: McKenzie, Halley, Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
