FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche, Texas. VISITATION: 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. on Wednesday night at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 805 Green Street in Comanche. MEMORIALS: American Diabetes Association, 4100 Alpha Road, Suite #100, Dallas, Texas 75244. Misael “Al” Collins, age 55, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on April 1, 1958, in Baja, California, to Oscar and Maria (Amao) Collins. In 1980 he married Lydia Chapa in Reno, Nevada. On August 8, 1998, he was united in marriage to Barbara McCain in Mt. Vernon, Washington. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Al was a self-employed yard man. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Collins of Comanche; two sons, Misael Collins, Jr., and wife Merlinda of Comanche, and David Collins and wife Karla of Woodland, California; two daughters, Veronica Berrones and Husband Junior of Porterville, California, and Crystal Collins of Porterville, California; nineteen Grandchildren; mother, Maria Collins of Madison, California; former wife Lydia Gilmore and husband Jerry of Porterville, California; three brothers, Joel Collins and wife Trudy of Oregon, Oscar Collins of Madison California, and Sam Collins of Oregon; two sisters, Chayito Collins of Madison, California, and Rachael Santiago of Madison, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Collins and sister, Ruthie Collins.
