Monique requested that her body be donated to science. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Monique McGuire, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on March 26, 1939, in Auxerre, France, to Andre and Eugenie (Pique) Collet.  When she was a small child her mother was killed in an Allied bomb attack in France and her father was forced to work in a German concentration camp.  She lived with nuns at a convent until the end of World War II, when she was re-united with her family.  Her aunts help raise her until she married a U.S. Air Force serviceman and, in 1959, moved to the United Sates with her husband and young daughter.  On November 5, 1976, she was united in marriage to Dixon McGuire in Ellsworth, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on October 28, 2006.  Monique was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She had a very strong work ethic and throughout her life helped her husband in their dairy, raising calves, and working the day to day operations of the dairy.  She also worked in the turkey business and helped run their tree digging service. She is survived by two daughters, Liz Hilpipre of Flint, Michigan; Sherri Patterson and husband Tommy of Comanche; grandchildren, Nicole Hilpipre of Midland, Brandon McGuire and wife Lisa of Anchorage, Alaska; and Courtney Jackson and husband Tyler of Comanche; and great-grandchildren, Sydney Davidson, Stone Davidson, Sloan Davidson, Clayton McGuire, Mila Jackson, and Lyla Jackson.
