Monte Tatum

January 15, 1931 — December 2, 2024

Monte "Grandpa Monte" Duane Tatum was born in Brownwood, Texas, on January 15, 1931 to Ina B. Tatum and James Barney Tatum. He served in the United States Armed Forces from 1951 through 1953. On May 02, 1953, he married Patsy Ann Hughes in Comanche, Texas. Most of his working career was spent at Bell Helicopter, after retirement enjoyed his home in Gustine. He was loyal volunteer and contributor to the Gustine Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Monte was a Master Mason.

He is survived by his son, Mike Tatum and wife Molly Tatum; granddaughter, Riley Ann Tatum-Price and husband Tyson Gains Price; grandson, Turner Chance Tatum; three great granddaughters; friend, Pam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the Pecan Creek Hospice and staff for all the hard work and dedication as they've known him as "pawpaw".
