Houston, Comanche, Texas 76442 or to the charity of choice. Nina Beth Terrill Durham passed away on February 3, 2012 at Hawkins Creek Assisted living in Longview, Texas. She was born in DeLeon, Texas on February 15, 1913 to Emory Allen and Mary Etta Terrill. She graduated from DeLeon High School, Tarleton State and Howard Payne University. She received her teaching certificate and taught 33 years, mostly in Comanche ISD elementary 4th grade. She loved her students and one of her greatest pleasures after retirement was visiting with former students. She moved to Longview, Texas in 1999 in order to be near family members. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought joy to her life. She was married to Gilmore Durham in 1939 and lived in Comanche for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers: F.L., George, Ralph, and Eldon Terrill. She is survived by her two children and their spouses: Mary Ann Durham Palmer and her husband Tom of Longview and son Henry Allen (Hank) Durham and his wife Suzanne of Waco. She is survived by five grandchildren: Lauri and husband James Schreiner of Colleyville, Kristi and husband Mike Magee of Longview, Michael and wife Candy Palmer of Longview, Julie and husband Darryl Zavondy of Austin, Margaret and husband John Burk of Houston and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Comanche for over 70 years. After she retired from teaching she worked in the church library and especially liked helping children find books to read.
