FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday. Novis Bethine Cox, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas She was born on March 6, 1943, in Texas, to William and Cora Lee Cox. She was united in marriage to Ray Crossland in Dallas, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Novis was an administrative assistant for Erath County Sheriff’s Office in Stephenville,for years and later worked at the Department of Public Safety in Comanche for several years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Comanche County. She is survived by her special friend, Jim Willey of De Leon; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Johnny Conine of Comanche; son and daughter-in-law, Jamey and Carolyn Crossland of Waxahachie; four grandchildren, Weston Conine, Jeron Conine, Ramey Crossland, and Riley Crossland; mother, Cora Lee Cox of Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Darwin and Karen Cox of Austin; brother, Phillip Cox and Mike Wyatt of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Cox, and sister, Patricia Cox.
