FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at East Side Baptist Church following the funeral services. Ollie Marie Burks, age 93, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015, in Brownwood, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1922, in Comanche, Texas, to Jasper Newton and Martha Elizabeth (Moseley) Guill. On December 31, 1939, she was united in marriage to Gaylord Burks in Comanche. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2005. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Ollie was a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Eldena Bingham and husband Gene of De Leon, Amy Burks of Brownwood, and Jennifer Wilder of Gatesville; two sons, Richard Burks and wife Glenda of Brownwood, and Bobby Burks of Brownwood; fourteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Patterson; and two grandchildren.
