Pete was born on June 11, 1956 in Tahoka, Texas to Jesse and Emiteria (Alvarez) Saabedra. He enjoyed fishing, fast cars, and was a certified welder in the oil field.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Saabedra; children, Christopher Martinez, Becky Saabedra, Elida Saabedra, Pedro Saabedra, Kimberly Saabedra; grandchildren, Joshua Martinez, Becky Flores, Samantha Saabedra, Jonathon Martinez, Lillian Martinez; and sisters, Virginia Valdiva, Rosa Garcia, and Sylvia DeLeon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Emiteria (Alvarez) Saabedra; and brothers, Jessie Saabedra and Augustine Saabedra.
