Peggy Jo Maheu, 72 of Comanche, Texas, died on Saturday, March 19, 2011, in Deleon, Texas. She was born on October 25, 1938, in Bangs, Texas, to the late Thomas Jefferson Wells and Selena (Jacobs) Wells. She was united in marriage to George Albert Busby in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was affectionately called Nanee by her grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Evans of Comanche and Albert Busby of Elk City, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law Melinda and Joseph Hunt of Comanche; one granddaughter, Joyce Wallingford of South Carolina; and three grandsons, George Albert Garrett Busby of South Carolina, Kyle Hunt of Comanche, and Christian Hunt of Comanche; two sisters, Pauline Buchanan of Roswell, New Mexico and Gladys Posey of Hasse, Texas; one brother and wife, Billy and Marilyn Wells of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Wells and Selena (Jacobs) Wells; also, by four brothers and three sisters.
