Peggy Jean Huddleston Scott, age 84 of Sidney Texas was born November 9th, 1939, and went on to be with Her Savior on Saturday December 23rd.
She is survived by Sister May Bell Huddleston French of Sidney. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Gary Scott, Parents, Granvel Edgar Huddleston and Tressie Odessa Armstrong Huddleston and Sibling Willie Joe “Pete” Huddleston. Peggy has six surviving children, son Dwain Scott and his wife Kay of Brownwood, son Gary “Corky” Underwood and his wife Lou of Comanche, daughter Pam Hill of Marble Falls, daughter Aletha Patterson and husband Dale of Comanche, son Labin Scott and wife Brenda Kay of Sidney, son Brick Scott and wife Shannon of Blum. Peggy (Grandy) was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren for whom she loved spending time with.
On July 21st, 1970, Peggy married Gary Scott and were blessed to have spent 50 years together, Peggy and Gary resided in Sidney Texas and Peggy was a homemaker, housewife and dairy hand on their dairy farm in Sidney. Peggy loved to play bridge with her bridge club and to read as many books as her sister May Bell did. She worked for Comanche National Bank for more than 10 years, owned and operated Owl Drug Store restaurant and bus stop for many years, Peggy loved to spend time with grandchildren and was always there to help rescue the grandchildren from Pabo’s may jokes.
Memorial services for Peggy will be on Saturday December 30th at 10am at the Sidney Church of Christ in Sidney Texas. In lieu of flowers family ask memorials to be made to Sidney Church of Christ.
Glenn Newberry will be doing the service with lunch to follow the service in the Church of Christ fellowship hall will all attending invited to stay and eat with the family.
