Box 26566 Austin, Texas 78755 OR Charity of Choice He was born on May 9, 1927 in Proctor, Texas to Rush O. Gray, Sr. and Gertie (Woolsey) Gray. R. O. Served in the U.S. Air Force during W.W. II as a maintenance crew chief. He served as Commander of the V.F.W. in Snyder, Texas for many years and also helped with numerous civic activities. He served as a Board Member of Snyder Country Club for several years. After moving to Comanche, he enjoyed golf at P.A.R. Country Club. He was a Baptist. Mr. Gray was united in marriage to Evelyn Smith on December 28, 1987 in Zephyr, Texas. R. O. Gray, age 83 years and 20 days, of Comanche, Texas, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Western Hills Healthcare Residence in Comanche, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Gray, Comanche, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sheron and Butch White, Wautauga, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Don Ventura, Alamogordo, N.M.; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gordon Place, Granbury, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndra and Lynn Anderson, Livermore, California; (8) grandchildren; (1) great-granddaughter; brother, Paul N. Gray, Snyder, Texas; brother, Jack Gray, Cross Plains, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Gertie Gray, one brother, Joe Gray, five sisters, Ruby Corrigan, Winnie Strube, Hazel Burg, Melba Smith and Ruth Ann Bluet.
