Rafaela Galvan Garcia, 91, of Comanche, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2019 at CCMC Hospital.  She was the daughter of Jesus and Maria Galvan, and was born October 24, 1927 in Driscoll, Texas. She married Guadalupe Garcia from Bishop, Texas on February 23, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas. They were married 62 years before his passing. Mrs. Rafaela Garcia was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 50 years. Her involvement included Parish Council, Eucharistic Minister, fundraising, cleaning the church, and many other activities. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her children; four daughters and four sons, Angie Garcia of Comanche, Texas, Maria Mendoza (husband Jose) Comanche, Texas, Eleanor Garcia of Garland, Texas, Jose Garcia (wife Mirna) of Arlington, Texas, Lucy Rodriguez (husband Arturo) of Fort Worth, Texas, Estevan Garcia (wife Pam) of Sanger, Texas, Jorge Garcia of Comanche, Texas and Eddie Garcia (wife Luisa) of Denton, Texas; daughter-in-law, Divina Garcia, whom she claimed as a daughter, of Arlington, Texas; 30 grandchildren; and 62 great and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Galvan; a son, Jose Luis Garcia; a daughter, Margarita Soto, grandson, Lorenzo Lopez; a grand-daughter, Analyssia Garcia; a great granddaughter, Miranda Herrera  and a great grandson Rolando Reyes Jr. All her life she showed that she loved her family. She willingly and lovingly upheld her responsibilities as a wife, mother, and friend. She will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts.
