FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at East Side Baptist Church following the funeral services. Ray Jones, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on July 16, 1921 in Waldrip, Texas, to G.W. and Roxie A. Jones. Ray was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United Sates Army Fifth Armored Division, and later served in the Texas National Guard. On June 21, 1945, he was united in marriage to Georgia Matthews Vineyard in Comanche. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2006. For thirty-three years he worked for the Texas Department of Transportation. He is survived by two sons, Lonnie Jones and wife Susan of Comanche, and Jerry Vineyard and wife Linda of Huntington, Texas; ten grandchildren; and twin sister, Faye Gray of Killeen.
