GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 at Stag Creek Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Comanche Funeral Home. Reba King, age 82, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Comanche County, Texas. She was born on June 7, 1929, in Brownfield, Texas to Herman E. and Martha L. (Tramell) Byrd. On August 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Clarence F. King in Brownfield. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2003. Reba was a waitress for thrity-three years. She worked for the N.C.O. Club in Alaska and in Fort Worth, Jack Grimmer in Comanche and the Officer’s Club in Puerto Rico. She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter, Martha Robertson of Farmers Branch; son, James Carr of Brownwood; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, Emily Ann Shireman, Amber Lynn Shireman, and Davin Cobain Shireman; and sisters, Faye Davenport of El Campo, Marie Harvick of Woodward, and Lou Brewer of Lovington, New Mexico.
