VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Retha Faye Armstrong, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on April 25, 1928, in Comanche County, to Sam and Carrie (Hallman) Phillips. On August 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to William E. Armstrong in Comanche, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2005. Retha was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Glessner and husband Jerry of Kempner; granddaughter, Susan Glessner of Wylie; and grandson, David Glessner of Comanche. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Phillips, Melvin Phillips, and Clifton Phillips; four sisters, Lena Patton, Viola Cottrell, Katie Cottrell and Lillian Kirkland; and her parents, Sam and Carrie Phillips.
