GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Newburg Cementery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at home following the funeral service. Robert Earl “Bob” Basham, Jr., passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on December 22, 1928, in Westbrook, Texas to Robert E and Mary (Harmon) Basham. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a farmer and also owned and operated a retail store for over forty years. He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Billie Jean Basham of Comanche; son, Jim Bob Basham and wife, Jackie of Dublin; granddaughters, Cassie Gaines and husband, Matt of Comanche, and Lindsey Yarbrough and husband, Jason of Abilene; and great-grandchildren, Marlie Gaines and Brady Gaines. He was preceded in death by son, Donnie Basham and daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Basham.
