MEMORIAL SERVICE: A graveside memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Ruble ranch in Newburg. Robert Joseph Ruble, age 90, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, June 5, 1923, in Tampico, Mexico, to Ross Rufus Ruble, Sr. and Estella Augustina (Zamora) Ruble. He was the first of three children born to the couple. The second was Betty Pauline Ruble-Kemnitz, also born in Mexico, and Ross Rufus Ruble, Jr., born in Oklahoma after the family returned to the United States. All Robert’s adult life was spent in Dallas, where he graduated from North Dallas High School. He attended SMU after his military service in WWII and Korea, from 1942 to 1951. In Dallas his love of singing led to voice training and he was active in several area church and civic choirs. His professional career included real estate sales, mortgage banking, and residential appraising. The Rubles’ love of country and rural living led them to purchase land in Comanche County in 1983. Bob was very clear about having his final resting place on his beloved land. Survivors include his present wife, Betty Price McCord-Ruble of Comanche County; daughter, Emily Corrine Ruble-Nagy of Huntsville; son, Martin DenBoer Ruble and wife Carrie of Taylor; grandchildren: Martin Robert Smith and Erin, Julianne Nagy-Ferrell and Brandon, Ross Zoltan Nagy, Monica Augustina Ruble, and Martin DenBoer Ruble, Jr., and Stephanie; grandchildren by marriage are Lance McCord-Byrd and Daniel McCord-Byrd; great-grandchildren: Robert Ferrell “Bear”, Ross “Frankie” Garrison and Samuel C.
