Box 3344, Abilene, Texas 79604; or Comanche Public Library, 311 N. Austin, Comanche, Texas 76442. Robert Milton Spruill, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on March 25, 1928, in Comanche County, to Robert Lee and Dixie Lee (Sloan) Spruill. On November 17, 1951, he was united in marriage to Marie Amos in Stephenville. Robert was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Downing Methodist Church and in his latter years he attended First Baptist Church in Comanche. He liked to visit his friends at the domino hall in Comanche. He is survived by his wife, Marie Spruill of Comanche; three sons, Robert E. Spruill and wife Suetta of Comanche, Jerry Spruill and wife Malinda of Lubbock, and Calvin Spruill and wife Shelly of Comanche; two daughters, Debra Kay Marett of Comanche and Cindy Thomas and husband Doug of Comanche; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, John Mark Spruill and wife Mary of Comanche; sister, Dixie Sloan Fletcher of Oceanside, California; mother-in-law, Gwendolen Amos of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Dixie Spruill; infant son, Michael Dwayne Spruill; son-in-law, Billy Marett; twin brother, Ralph Spruill; and brother, Spencer Clay Spruill.
