Ronald Ayers

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.   BURIAL:  Committal service will be at 1:15 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at DFW National Cemetery.  Ronald Alan Ayers, age 87, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on July 31, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, to William Leonard and Bernice Reed (Cantrell) Ayers.  He served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force and the Texas National Guard. On March 31, 1951; he was united in marriage to Mary Theresa Riefler in Rockwall, Texas.  She preceded him in death on August 21, 2017.  He was a devoted husband and was the best dad any child could ever have.  Ronald was a registered landscape architect for the City of Dallas Parks Department.  Ronald was a member of Sidney Church of Christ. He is survived by sons, Gilbert Ayers of Dallas and Brian Ayers of Sidney; and sister, LaJuan Smith of Houston.  He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Bernice Ayers; wife, Mary Theresa Ayers; brother, Gilbert Ayers; and half-brothers, Wendell Chancellor and Robert Chancellor.
