Roy Mitchell

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A private memorial service will scheduled at a later date. Roy G. Mitchell, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011, in Hamilton, Texas. He was born on March 23, 1931, in Lamar County, Texas, to Pelham and Hattie (Bolton) Mitchell. He served in the United States Army as a Specialist 3rd Class and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Roy worked in construction as a welder and for over eleven years operated Mitchell Welding in Comanche. He was a Baptist. He is survived by two sons, Roy D. Mitchell of Hamilton and Rickey Mitchell of Fort Worth; three grandsons, Chad Mitchell of Hamilton, Jeremy Mitchell of Abilene and Shannon Mitchell of Beaumont; three granddaughters, Amelia Butler of Coleman, Jessica White of Goldthwaite and Nickie Mitchell of Stephenville; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
