He was born on September 22, 1933 in Gorman, Texas, to Junior Dean and Mildred (Waltrip) Strube. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korean War. On July 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Delores Maxine Henry in Proctor, Texas. Wayne was a complex manager of many truck stops in Texas and he was an entrepreneur. He was a member of Fort Worth Masonic Lodge #1244 and 32 nd Degree Scottish Rite. He was a member of Bar None Cowboy Church in Tatum. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Strube of Proctor; daughter, Debbie Head of Kilgore; son, Kenneth Strube and wife Mel of Selden; four Grandsons, Justin Head, Josh Head, Austin Head, Taylor Strube; two Granddaughters, Peyton Head and Kali Goehring; one Great-Grandson, Parker Strube; brother, Carl Dean Strube and wife, Sue of De Leon; and brother, Jerry Don Strube and wife Donie of Proctor. He was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Wade Strube on June 9, 2004; parents, Dick and Mildred Strube and one brother Margene Strube on May 3, 2011.
