FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Ruby Johnson, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche County, Texas. She was born on February 3, 1926, in Comanche County to Alvin and Ida Mae (McAliley) Layman. On April 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Charles D. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Comanche and she was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Johnson of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Sharla and Eddie Cox of Comanche; daughter, Kyra Crutchfield of The Colony; five grandchildren, James L. Cox III and wife Kim, Shelly Cox, Chris Crutchfield, Chuck Crutchfield, and Cassandra Crutchfield; one great-granddaughter, Samantha Cox; sister, Lou Johnson of Comanche; three nieces; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ida Mae Layman; brother-in-law, Levie Johnson; and son-in-law, Bruce Crutchfield.
