Ruth Ell Price, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Brownwood, Texas. She was born on July 24, 1930, in Ackerly, Texas, to William Dale and Beatrice (Wiley) Stokes.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  Ruth was a generous, caring person, and the family caretaker.  She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  In high school she played basketball with a passion and in later years played dominos and drank coffee with equal enthusiasm.  For many years Ruth worked as a checker at Safeway grocery store in Midland, but her greatest love was her home, family and beloved dogs.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche, Club 13 Domino Club, and a volunteer at Comanche Cares. She is survived by three sons, Bill Price of Norman, Oklahoma, James Mark Price and wife Edith of Edinburg, Texas, and Brent Price and wife Norma of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Margaret Perry Lester of Brownwood, Texas; brother, Floyd Stokes and wife Jean of Stephenville, Texas; sister, Mary Daniel of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Allen Price; and twin brother, Garnett Dale Stokes.
