Sherman Heflin

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 18, 2011, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until time to leave for the Graveside Service. Sherman Marvin Heflin, Jr., age 66, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on May 26, 1944, in Portales, New Mexico, to Sherman Marvin Heflin, Sr. and Mary (Phillips) Heflin. On March 16, 1965, he was united in marriage to Dollie Harris in Austin, Texas. Sherman was a truck driver employed by Durham Pecan Company in Comanche. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Dollie Heflin of Comanche; sons and daughters-in-law, Royce and Carrie Heflin of Abilene, Justin Heflin of Abilene, and Curtis and Esther Heflin of Troy; daughter, Tina Grelle of Goldthwaite; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Harold Heflin of Portales; sisters, Winnie Dodson of Portales, Beulah Osborn of Lubbock, Darlene Hackett of Portales, and Bobbie Morrow of Arkansas.
