MEMORIALS: Comanche All Pets Alive (CAPA) c/o Jan Huett 104 Trevino Comanche, Tx 76442 Nina Sue Young, age 81, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 in Comanche, Texas, after a battle with heart disease. . She was born on September 28, 1935, in Comanche, Texas, to Charlie L. Hicks and L. Eleanor (Holmsley). She grew up in Newburg, graduated from Comanche High School and got her RN degree at TCU. She graduated from TCU in 1959. She was united in marriage on November 24, 1958 to Charles Young in Ft. Worth, Texas. . She worked at the Richards Memorial Hospital in Paducah, Texas for 20 years, then at Home Health in Paducah for 13 years. She and Charles moved back to Comanche in 1993. After working 2 ½ years, she retired from Comanche Home Health in 1998. She is survived by her two daughters, Jo Lynn Amidon of Comanche, Wendy Tidmore and husband Gregg of Lubbock; grandchildren, Mark Marshall and fiancé Beth Trussell of Austin, Kendra Escutia and husband Jose of Houston; and great grandchildren, Isabelle, Hadrien and Aidan; and her brother, Ted J. Hicks and wife Sandra of Comanche. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2010 and by her parents and her beloved dogs, Woof and Woof 2.
