FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Union Cemetery VISITATION: Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 23. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at the Community Center on Cedar Avenue, following the funeral services. Susan Medina, age 73, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, in Comanche County, Texas. She was born on August 8, 1943, in Lampasas, to Mancho and Maria (Garza) Medina. She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Susan was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Alfredo Gamez of Gustine; daughters, Laura Jean Griscavage and husband John of Hillsboro and Anna Diaz and husband John of Comanche; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Atchley of Georgia, Anita Johnson of De Leon, Teresa Medina, of San Angelo, Juanita Zarate of Gustine, Lenora Gutierrez of Comanche, and Alice Reza of Gatesville; brothers, Joe Medina of Pflugerville, Adolph Medina of Gustine, Freddy Medina of Hamilton, and Robert Medina of Round Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Jose Luis Gamez, and parents, Mencho and Maria Medina.
