FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:00 A.M. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL:  Buffalo Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION:  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH:  Lunch for the family will be at East Side Baptist Church following the funeral services. Susie Mae Fields, age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Rising Star, Texas.  She was born on February 4, 1941, in Comanche County, Texas to Johnny and Annie (Dulan) Cook.  Susie attended Sidney High School where she played basketball and was a cheerleader.  On February 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Bobby Bert Fields in Comanche.  He preceded her in death on April 5, 2017.  Susie loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family.  She was an excellent cook and loved to sew.  She was her happiest when she was in the kitchen baking or at her sewing corner making dolls and bears and pageant dresses.  She had the best pies and the most amazing oatmeal cookies around.  Susie attended all of the grandkids’ functions until her health wouldn’t let her anymore.  Susie was a Christian and a longtime member of East Side Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Michael Ray Fields and partner Ira Monroe of Comanche, Tony Dale Fields and partner Donna Forrester of Buffalo Springs; daughters, Tiena Rene Griggs of Buffalo Springs and Shiela Gay Fields of May; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Cook and wife Katy of Sidney; sister, Mary Ann Underwood of Rising Star; sisters-in-law, Martha Cook of Rising Star, Carolyn Cook of Stephenville, Doris Hilliard of Comanche; brothers-in-law, Tommy Fields and wife Vicky of Proctor, Paul Fields of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Annie Cook; brothers, Jerry Cook and Buddy Cook; and brothers-in-law, Billy Paul Underwood and David Waylan Fields.
