Susie Lopez

FUNERAL SERVICE:  2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL:  Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION:  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH:  Lunch for the family will be at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at New Life Pentecostal Church.
Susie Lopez, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on July 5, 1934, in Runge, Texas, to Pedro and Encarnacion (Guerra) Garcia.  On November 30, 1951, she was united in marriage to Julian Lopez, Sr., in Lovington, New Mexico.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 1989.  Susie was devoted to her family.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and homemaker.  She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She is survived by six sons; Julian Lopez, Jr. of Comanche, Felix Lopez and wife Alice of Comanche, Ernest Lopez of Comanche, Alex Lopez of Comanche, Ralph Lopez of Comanche, and Robert Lopez of Comanche; three daughters, Valia Suniga and husband Louis of Comanche, Alejandra Lopez and husband Art of Corpus Christi, and Patricia Dirickson and husband Shawn of Comanche; Thirty-nine grandchildren; one hundred and nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Margarita Dominguez of Kingsville.  She was preceded in death by four children, Tony, Arthur, Eloisa, and Tommie; and her parents, Pedro and Encarnacion Garcia.
