GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Sardis Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 on Wednesday, June 8. Tammy Vanderslice, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1970, in Stephenville, Texas, to Robert Larry and Barbara (Graham) Vanderslice. For many years she worked as a jailer for Wise County. Tammy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her family was her life. She was a caring and giving person and always stepped in to lend a helping hand to those in need. She is survived by her fiancé, Charles Myers of Canyon Lake; son, Kyle Thornton and wife Cara of Weatherford; daughters, Haley Nebben and husband Brodie of Spring Branch, Ashley Myers of Weatherford, Kyla Myers of Weatherford, and Marissa Myers of Azle; grandchildren: Riley, Weston, Karson, Scarlett, Cyrus, Audrey, and Bryson; parents, Barbara and J.R. “Pops” Lamance of Boyd; and brothers, Terrell, Rodney, Johnny, and Darrell. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Vanderslice.
