Thomas Layman

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at White Point Cemetery in Comanche County. Thomas “Tom” L. Layman, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in Crestview, Florida. He was born on Thursday, September 3, 1936, in Comanche, Texas, to Artie and Mary Ella (Gober) Layman. He was united in marriage to Nancy Kay Layman for fifty-six years. She preceded him in death on August 23, 2013. Tom served in the United States Air Force for twenty years, and for twenty-five years was a flight simulator technician for the Civil Service. He is survived by two sons, Thomas L. Layman, Jr. of Florida, and John David Layman and wife Cathey of Alabama; one daughter, Lorna Kay Layman of Florida; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Beth Howington of California and Betty Joyce Pennell of Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.
