FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL:  Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION:  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Monday night from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. LUNCH:  Family will have lunch at Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche, following the funeral services. MEMORIALS:  If desired memorials may be made to Pearl Street Church of Christ, 500 N. Pearl Street, Comanche, Texas 76442. Treva N. Davis, age 96, passed away on June 7,  2014 in Comanche, Texas. She was born in Comanche County, Texas on October 18, 1917 to J. L. Johnston and Laura Gertrude (Haslet) Johnston.   On June 23, 1938 she was united in marriage to Clyde Vernon Davis.  He preceded her in death on June 8, 2006.  For many years Treva worked as a government peanut grader at Durham Peanut Company during the peanut harvesting season.  She also worked at a local café and at Dairy King.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker and a superb cook.  She was member of Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Jan Davis of Comanche; daughter-in-law, Verdell Davis Krisher of Dallas; grandchildren: David Davis and wife Shelley, Shawna Wooley and husband John, Stephen Davis and wife Cristina, Deann Latham and husband Buddie, and Todd Davis and wife Stephanie; and great-grandchildren: Brittany, Will and wife Kendel, Sara, Trip, Jake, Taylor, Blake, Jenny, Libby, Harrison and Hannah.  She was preceded in death by one son, Creath Davis on June 28, 1987 and by her parents, J. L. and Gertrude Johnston.
