FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Duffau Cemetery in Erath County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 20. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at Reunion Hall (on Hwy 16 across from Comanche National Bank) Vickey Elaine Cavitt, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Marlin, Texas. She was born on Friday, January 4, 1952, in Slaton, Texas, to Lewis Weldon and Mattie Faye (McAlister) Kuykendall. On June 17, 1983, she was united in Marriage to James Cavitt in Tow, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother. Vickey was a dedicated and talented educator. She was Principal of Comanche Accelerated Learning Center for three years and later was Principal for Premier School in Comanche for several years. She was beloved by her many students and co-workers. Vickey was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband, James Cavitt of Marlin; son, Kyle Cavitt and wife Kim of Levelland; nephew and niece, Wade Kuykendall and Kathy Kuykendall, both of Lubbock; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mattie Kuykendall, and brother, Kenny Kuykendall.
