Walter Norman Crowson, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 in Comanche, Texas.
He was born on January 7, 1947, in Alachua County, Florida. He grew up in Florida and then Alabama. He attended ACU in Abilene, Texas and Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, where he received a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
He was united in marriage to Sue Ann Huffman on December 17, 1977.
Later in life, he received his Master's in environmental science from the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson.
He was a member of Early Church of Christ. He loved to sing bass and some tenor. His hobbies included astronomy, fishing, ham radio, fly tying, and making replacement parts for equipment with lathe & mill.
Walter spent most of his career in Industry, working for US Brass in Abilene. In the Dallas area, he did TI, ESystems and others. Later he worked as an independent consultant in building, programming, and repairing computers for several clients.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Crowson; daughter, Jalene Melton and husband, Keith; sisters, Marrian Lewis and Anita Roach and their families; sisters-in-law, Sallie Huffman and Cinda Huffman.
