Box 611, Comanche, Texas 76442 Bill Koenig, age 61, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at his residence in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on April 25, 1950 in Dubina, Texas, to Ivan and Josie (Peters) Koenig. On April 19, 1975, he was united in marriage to Tooter Hardin in Weimer, Texas. Bill retired from the Department of Public Safety where he served as a State Trooper for thirty-one years. He was always ready to serve the community after he retired from the D.P.S. he was elected as Justice of the Peace for Comanche County and served in that capacity for six years. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and friend. Bill was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Tooter Koenig of Comanche; son, Kipp Koenig and wife Ryann of Aspermont; daughter, Courtney Craig and husband Kevin of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Mattie and Wesley Koenig, and Kasidy and Kenedy Craig; brothers, Bobby Koenig and wife Debbie, Jimmy Koenig and wife Jeanette, and Timmy Koenig and wife Denise; mother-in-law, Judy Hardin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Sissy Mikeska, Mike and Sandy Hancock, and Lyndia Janosky; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Josie Koenig, father-in-law Wesley Hardin, and brother-in-law Dennis Janosky.
