GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Board Church Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATIONl: Wednesday morning from 8:30 A.M. until time to leave for the cemetery. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at the home of Brad and Ann Layman following the funeral service. Willie Layman, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on August 3, 1936, in Comanche County to Willie Earnest “Doc” and Pearl (Phifer) Layman. On July 16, 1957, he was united in marriage to Veda Louise Hasley in Comanche. She preceded him in death on September 6, 1993. Willie was a retired truck driver. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Ann Layman of Comanche; six grandchildren, Jessica Purcell, Tiffany Purcell, Samantha White, Brandon Dudley and wife Belinda, Shauni Layman, and Darrin Layman; three great-grandchildren, Ryley Jones, Ryder Jones, and Bailey Dudley; sister and brother-in-law Eva Nell and Walter Sliger of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; four brothers; and two sisters.
